This past weekend we took a trip to New Jersey and visited Diggerland and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!!
Diggerland is the only construction vehicle theme park in the United States. So there are construction themed rides as well as actual construction vehicles for you and the littles to drive. On top of that, there is an amazing waterpark for all ages to enjoy!
I’m going to give you guys a whole recap of our day at Diggerland.
When we first got there, we had to get tickets at the admissions booth which was pretty busy but very well managed. We also went through security where our bags were checked and this part was such a breeze. Diggerland’s Water Main opens at 10 but the rides don’t open until 12, so we headed straight to the waterpark. They have bathrooms and changing rooms, lockers for rental, life jackets for the kids, cabanas for rental, and tons of chairs. They. also have a couple food spots right inside the Water Main which was nice!
They have a small pool for the kids, a regular sized pool for the adults, a wave pool, a lazy river, and huge water slides. We spent most of our time at the small pool and we loved it! There were tons of sprinklers and even a little water slide.
We had lunch at the Toolbox Cafe located right in the Water Main. We ordered chicken tenders, fries, chicken sandwiches, quesadillas, mozzarella sticks, and of course souvenir cups and everything was delicious! They have a few pavilions with picnic tables so it was nice to get out of the sun and enjoy our lunch. We also got popsicles as a little treat!
Later in the day, we changed in the changing rooms which were super nice and headed out to do some rides. Driving actual construction vehicles around the tracks was SO fun for the kids. It was hot but Diggerland has shaded walkways and misting fans all over the park. We also played on the beautiful playground which is on turf and has shaded benches for the adults. To leave the park, you have to go through the gift shop and let me just say that they had some super cute options! Tee shirts, mugs, water bottles, toys, books, magnets, literally anything you can think of!
