Is IPSY Really Worth It? – November ’23 Edition

This month I got all three boxes – the GlamBag, BoxyCharm by Ipsy, and the first Icon Box.

Glam Bag

The Glam Bag retails for $13 a month and ships out every month with 5 sample size products plus a makeup bag. This month, the makeup bag is super cute and perfect for winter. I will definitely be using it! I’m not a huge fan of sample sizes, but let me go through what I got.

• Beauty For Real Concealer Brush – You can never have too many brushes! I will definitely be adding this to my collection.
• Sonage Hydrating Mist – My face is sensitive when it comes to sprays and mists so I won’t be trying this.
• Sutra Beauty Leave In Cream – I am super picky with my hair products so I won’t be trying this one either.
• Benefit 24-hr Brow Setter – I love benefit so I will definitely be trying this out!
• Estate Most Wanted – I had to google to find out what this actually is, and it turns out it’s a tinted lip balm. I’ll definitely be trying this out.

This one was decent! I’m not a huge fan of sample sizes but I did get some good products!

BoxyCharm by Ipsy

BoxyCharm by Ipsy retails for $28 and renews monthly with 5 full size products, 3 of which you have the option to personalize.

• Lapalette Beauty Hydra Blue Petal Serum Toner – My skin can be sensitive so I won’t be trying this out.
• Alamar Destino Eyeshadow Palette – I’ve heard amazing things about this brand so I’ll definitely be trying this out!
• L’Occitane Light Comforting Cream – Another amazing brand that I will be trying out!
• Anastasia Beverly Hills Satin Lipstick – Yet another great brand and a pretty color! Keeping this too.
• Gloss Moderne Clean Luxury Body Creme – I feel like this is just your regular lotion so I’m gonna pass this along.

This one seems to be a hit! There are some great brands and great products I’ll be adding to my collection.

Icon Box

The Icon Box goes for $58 and renews every quarter, bringing you 8 full size products, and you get to pre-choose 3 of them!

• Danessa Myricks Beauty Dew Wet Balm – I’m interested to know what this product is about so I’m gonna try it!
• Pat McGrath Labs Dark Star Mascara – I’ve heard great things about this brand so I’m gonna try this out!
• Patchology FlashPatch – I LOVE eye patches so I’ll be using these too!
• Alo Glow System Superfruit Moisturizing Body Lotion – I don’t need another body lotion so I’ll be passing this along.
• Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion – I’m picky on my skincare so I’ll be passing this along as well.
• Lys Beauty Speak Love Glossy Lip Treatment Oil Duo – You can never have enough lip oils! I’m definitely adding these to my collection.
• Tatcha The Rice Wash – Such a great brand but again, I am picky with my skincare so I’ll pass this to someone who will get use out of it.
• Ace Beaute Hydrating Face Primer – I will be trying this one too!

This box is my favorite out of all three. It seems to be worth it for the money! If you like full size products or want the customization option, definitely add on the quarterly Icon Box.
