November was the perfect mix of cozy holiday reads and dark, twisty thrillers — truly a little bit of everything. Between evenings on the couch, long weekends, and a very festive reading mood, I made my way through nine books this month. Here’s everything I read in November, along with my honest ratings and a quick breakdown of who I think will love each one.
The Divorce Lawyer — Ellie Monago (3/5)
A domestic thriller with a solid premise and a lot of emotional tension. I enjoyed the pacing and the messy relationship dynamics, but it didn’t fully grab me the way I wanted. If you like character-driven thrillers with a slow unravel, this one might be for you.
Please Don’t Lie — Christina Baker Kline (5/5)
My favorite kind of emotional fiction — raw, heartfelt, and beautifully written. This story felt layered and honest, the kind you think about long after you close the book. Such a strong 5/5 and absolutely worth the read if you love stories rooted in truth, healing, and human connection.
Holiday Ever After — Hannah Grace (4/5)
If you need something light, cute, and perfectly cozy for the holidays, this novella delivers. It’s fun, romantic, and exactly the kind of story you want to read wrapped in a blanket with a cup of cocoa. A very sweet 4/5.
The Bride’s Secret — Rosie Walker (5/5)
A psychological thriller that hooked me from page one. Fast-paced, twisty, and so much creepier than I expected — in the best way. If you love unreliable characters, secrets, and jaw-dropping reveals, add this to your list immediately.
He Sees You When You’re Sleeping — Alta Hensley (5/5)
Dark, chilling, and surprisingly addictive. This one leans into the suspense and atmosphere beautifully, and I couldn’t put it down. A great pick if you want something festive but eerie.
Christmas Revenge — AJ Campbell (5/5)
A holiday thriller that is so fun to read. Sharp pacing, dramatic turns, and just the right amount of Christmas chaos. I flew through it and loved every second — highly recommend if you love holiday stories with an edge.
Left at the Alter — AJ Campbell (5/5)
AJ Campbell strikes again. This one is emotional, suspenseful, and really well-constructed. The tension builds in a way that keeps you flipping pages, and the ending delivers. If you love thrillers centered around relationships, this one is a standout.
The Gingerbread Bakery — Laurie Gilmore (5/5)
The definition of a warm, sweet, feel-good holiday romance. Think small town charm, bakery vibes, and all the cinnamon-sugar coziness you could want. This was such a joyful read — perfect for anyone who loves Hallmark-level comfort.
He Knows When You’re Awake — Alta Hensley (3/5)
A darker, moodier follow-up that didn’t hit quite as strongly for me as the first. Still atmospheric and unsettling, just not as gripping. Worth reading if you enjoyed the tone of He Sees You When You’re Sleeping.
