My February 2026 Book Round-Up

February ended up being such a fun reading month for me. I bounced between thrillers, romance, and cozy small-town reads, and there were definitely a few standouts that completely pulled me in. If you’re looking for some new books to add to your TBR, here’s everything I read in February and what I thought of each one.

Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney

Rating: 4/5

This psychological thriller follows a married couple who win a weekend getaway to a remote chapel in Scotland, hoping the trip might help fix their struggling relationship. As the story unfolds, secrets from their past begin to surface through alternating perspectives and mysterious letters written every anniversary. The tension builds steadily, leading to twists that keep you questioning what’s real and who can actually be trusted.

The Wedding People by Alison Espach

Rating: 2.5/5

This story centers on Phoebe, who unexpectedly finds herself at a lavish wedding at a seaside hotel while going through a difficult moment in her life. What follows is a mix of introspective moments, unexpected friendships, and observations about love, loneliness, and starting over. While the premise was interesting, the pacing felt slower for me and it didn’t fully grab my attention the way I hoped it would.

The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave

Rating: 5/5

This was easily one of my favorite reads of the month. The story follows Hannah, whose husband disappears suddenly, leaving behind a cryptic note that simply says “Protect her.” Hannah teams up with her teenage stepdaughter Bailey to uncover the truth about his past. As they dig deeper, they realize the man they thought they knew might not be who he claimed to be. The suspense and emotional depth made this one impossible to put down.

Accidentally Yours by Christina Lauren

Rating: 4/5

This romance follows a woman who accidentally sends a deeply personal email to the wrong person—who just happens to be a charming vineyard owner. What starts as an embarrassing mistake turns into an unexpected connection as the two begin exchanging emails and eventually meet in person. It’s a fun, lighthearted romance with great chemistry and plenty of humor.

The Strawberry Patch Pancake House by Laurie Gilmore

Rating: 5/5

This cozy small-town romance takes place in a charming community centered around a beloved pancake house. The story blends heartwarming relationships, personal growth, and a sweet love story that develops naturally over time. With its cozy setting and feel-good vibes, this one was the perfect comforting read.

Valentine’s Slay by Navessa Allen

Rating: 4/5

This book adds a darker, edgier twist to the Valentine’s theme. The story blends romance with suspense, following characters who find themselves caught up in dangerous circumstances while navigating intense chemistry. It’s fast-paced, dramatic, and perfect for readers who like their romance with a bit of thrill and danger.

The First Time I Saw Him by Laura Dave

Rating: 3/5

This emotional story explores the complexities of relationships and how a single moment can shape the way we see someone forever. The narrative focuses on personal reflection, memories, and the impact of past choices. While it was thoughtfully written, it didn’t pull me in quite as much as the first book in the series.

Just For The Summer by Meghan Quinn

Rating: 5/5

This was such a fun and heartwarming romance. The story follows two people who agree to date “just for the summer,” thinking it will be simple and temporary. Of course, things quickly become more complicated as real feelings start to develop. It’s filled with witty banter, emotional moments, and the kind of love story that leaves you smiling at the end.

If you’re always looking for new books to add to your list like I am, this month had a few standout favorites. The Last Thing He Told Me, The Strawberry Patch Pancake House, and Just For The Summer were definitely my top reads.
