A Fun Family-Friendly Day at PopStroke Tampa

If you’re looking for a fun thing to do near Tampa that works for both kids and adults, PopStroke is definitely worth adding to your list. We visited the Tampa location in Wesley Chapel for an evening of mini golf, food, drinks, and ice cream, and there was much more to do than I expected.

PopStroke combines mini golf with a full-service restaurant, bar, outdoor games, and plenty of space to hang out. It’s an easy option for a family outing, date night, birthday celebration, or casual night out with friends.

Mini Golf at PopStroke Tampa

The main attraction at PopStroke is its two 18-hole putting courses. Instead of traditional mini golf with themed obstacles, these courses feel more like smaller versions of real golf greens. There are slopes, turns, bunkers, and plenty of opportunities for a little friendly competition.

You don’t have to be good at golf to enjoy it, either. Our group had a mix of adults and kids, and everyone was able to play at their own pace. It was relaxed enough for the kids but still challenging enough to keep the adults interested.

You can also use the PopStroke app to keep score, so no one has to carry around a scorecard and pencil throughout the course.

Food and Drinks

PopStroke is more than somewhere you visit for a quick round of golf. There’s a full-service restaurant with appetizers, burgers, salads, sandwiches, tacos, kids’ meals, and more.

We ordered food and drinks during our visit, which made it easy to turn mini golf into an entire evening out. There’s also a full bar with cocktails, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic options.

One of the most convenient features is the ability to order through the PopStroke app and have drinks delivered while you’re playing. You don’t have to stop your game or leave the course whenever you want something.

Ice Cream After Golf

Of course, we had to finish the night with ice cream. PopStroke has its own ice cream parlor with different flavors and sweet treats, making it the perfect last stop after your round.

If you’re visiting with kids, I’m sure this will be one of the highlights for them. Although, to be fair, the adults were just as excited about it!

More Things to Do at PopStroke

Even if someone in your group doesn’t want to play golf, there are still other ways to enjoy the space. PopStroke Tampa also offers outdoor games such as cornhole and foosball, along with a playground for younger children.

There are TVs located throughout the property, too, so it would be a fun place to visit during a big sporting event. Between the games, restaurant, bar, and outdoor seating, you can easily spend a few hours here without feeling like you’re only going for mini golf.

Is PopStroke Good for Kids?

Yes! PopStroke is very family-friendly. The putting courses are approachable for different ages and skill levels, and the playground and outdoor games give kids something else to do between rounds.

There are also food options for both adults and children, plus the ice cream parlor makes the experience feel like a complete family outing.

I would recommend visiting earlier in the day with younger kids or heading there in the evening if you want more of a lively dinner-and-drinks atmosphere.
